As a group of friends plays Dungeons & Dragons for the first time, they embark on a journey into the world of fantasy. Their characters—Cord, a traveling orc musician; Onyx, a cleric of Lathander; and Sue, a multicultural cook—are tasked with following a magical compass to uncover great power. Along the way, they must face perilous foes and overcome daunting obstacles. They’ll meet new allies and discover more about themselves than ever before. In the real world, this group of friends also faces conflicts that mirror the challenges of their fantasy counterparts—but together, they emerge stronger than before.
